I am in love with the new presets from VSCO film. Designed to emulate film when processing your raw digital files in Adobe Lightroom (and Photoshop), the options are amazing and the subtlety just fabulous at capturing the look and feel of film, even down to the grain.


Here is a before and after, the original file straight out of the camera. After, the file processed using the Fuji film presets.


The image on the left processed with Fuji film presets and faded black to give that vintage feel. The image on the right processed using a cream overlay.

An Interview with the Bride and Groom

What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? We wanted something very San Francisco. That's why we picked The Fairmont and the navy and yellow colors - feels very SF to us. I also have a slight obsession with the look of preppy colors and styles, so the colors also hinted at that. That's also why we rented the Cable Car and the Rolls for the transportation - just wanted to keep it traditional SF. We also liked the idea of keeping elements culturally relevant to our families, so we selected the Italian Church and included the Irish blessing in the ceremony. Mostly, we just wanted our families and friends to have a great time celebrating with us!!

What was your favorite memory or part of your day? Erin? Mark?

My favorite memory of the day was finally getting to the end of the aisle and Mark taking my hand. I was so happy to finally get up to him and get married!! I also really enjoyed being able to see our friends and family from the altar during the whole thing. Mark's favorite part of the day was when I was close enough to him while I was walking down the aisle that he could look me in the eye. Funny that we both picked similar moments!! (It was also SO cute when my neice and Mark's cousin danced on the floor during our first dance - so adorable!!).

Do you have any other stories to share that helps tell the story of your big day?

I think we had a pretty laid back attitude to the whole day, taking all of the help that was offered to us. My parents were great, they helped so much! The Fasanos have such a fun family, I LOVED when That's Amore came on during the reception and all of the families danced in a big circle! It was wonderful for everyone to meet and celebrate, we had all of the most important people to us in one place!!

Erin, tell me about your dress designer?

My dress was designed by Justin Alexander (and was so tight that I still have marks on my back from the corset!). The bracelet was made for my mom by her mom and has her maiden name on it, Angioli. I also really liked how it is an Italian name, tying into my new last name - Fasano!!
